Archaeological Preserves by State

The Archaeological Conservancy has established nearly 600 archaeological preserves across the United States. The preservation process for each site is ongoing. After a site is acquired, a managment and maintenance plan is carefully crafted to ensure preservation in perpituity. Click on the map below to virtually explore some selected preserves from across the country.

Please note: Archaeological preserves owned by The Archaeological Conservancy are private property. Due to the sensitive nature of our protected sites, they are not open for public visitation.
